Calendar compatibility between Outlook 2003 & 2007

We now have a network with some Outlook 2003 systems & some Outlook 2007
systems. We can't seem to send meeting notices between the 2003 and 2007
Outlooks. One system can not open calendar attachments from the other. Is
there a way I can get these deferent Outlooks to calendar together?

What happens when you try? Error messages? What format are you using to
send the calendar invites?
