Calendar control not displaying its text

On my own PC (XP and Office 2003) I have developed a macro
which includes a calendar control. The calendar displays ok on
my PC but on a PC that runs Win 2000 with Office 2000 the
calendar outline shows but there is no text. I have tried copying
my version of mscal.ocx to the W2000 PC but still no joy.

Is it a font thing or what?

Hi Seamus,

The mscal.ocx is a different file for XP 2000, 2002 etc.

the user must have the file mscal.ocx in his c:/Windows/System32 folder and
have it added to his registy (For 2003 XP). In my case, it was not loaded
with my Sony Vaio upon purchase altho the rest of MS Office was. Without
it, the useform does not seem to open reasonably.

Microsoft VBA help points to
http://www.fontstuff.com/mailbag/qvba01.htm and it's reasonably facile from
that point to install the mscal.ocx file

I have downloaded the appropriate mscal.ocx from the fontstuff
site, put it in system32 folder and registered it. No difference.

Any further ideas?

Hi Seamus,
I don't have much experience with mscal.ocx use. It just happened that I
had had occasion to intall it myself within the last week. It needs of
course to be installed on the computer to be opening the calendar, not
necessarily the computer on which created. Make sure you downloaded the
correct mscal.ocx. Copy the File to the Correct Folder
mscal_office97.zip mscal_office2000.zip mscal_office2002.zip
mscal_office2003.zip


Copy the File to the Correct Folder
For Windows 95, 98 and ME this is C:\Windows\System
For Windows NT, 2000, XP it is C:\Windows\System32

This is of course material directly from the site I referenced earlier in
this thread.
Perhaps someone else while chime in.
