Calendar "Day Trips"?

I'm starting a new job working remotely with quite a bit of travel. I need
to use my Outlook calendar to keep track of what city I am in (and also let
my boss know where I am). I can't block the whole day with my trips,
because I will have appointments on those trips that I need to put on the
calendar, but I need to somehow show where I am located each day. Any
suggestions?

Why can't you put events that span your working time? Mark them as "free" or
"tentative". Others will still be able to schedule events with you.

You can create an "event" for each day rather than an appointment. Events
only show up at the top of the calendar and don't take up any space in the
appointment section. Events can be used for birthdays, reminders of things to
do, etc.

To create an "event" that states the city you're in that day:

1. In Calendar view click on New in the upper left.

2. Type the city in the Subject field, and check the "All day event" box
below.
The term "All day event" is misleading. It doesn't take up all the space on
your calendar for that day. It only shows up at the top.

3. Click on "Save and Close" in the upper left.

Hope that helps!
