Calendar does not allow change of event dates

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel
Email Client: pop

Calendar does not allow me to update/change event dates. Instead of accepting a new date, the system changes event date to 01Jan1970.

I can believe I am the first one to report about this problem.

I think this is Date-format issue. There were other reports that saying the
date always changed back to 1970..

Could you double check your OS Date format setting? (System preference ->
International-> format tab), especially the short or medium format. If
possible, change it to the same as the one used US(computer)
