Calendar entries always on two pairwise days

I just can't manage to enter a new item in my Outlook
Calendar(OfficeXP) without it being displayed on two days!
Even a one day holiday is now on two days (sure would be
cool). Can somebody help me or do I have to reinstall
Outlook (don't do this to me)?
