calendar in crosstab form

I am trying to have a date in a form to follow the date from a calendar in
the same form.
When I select a date from the calendar, I wand the selected records from the
form to reflect that date. The date field is dateofyear and the calendar name
is mycalendar.
I am having problems because dateofyear is not updatable. The crosstab query
that feeds the form is mycrosstab

Any help would be greatly appreciated
