Calendar problem in runtim 2002

I have a Access 2002 program that opens a calendar when a
operator clicks on the field. When this happens the
calendar pops up and the operator clicks on his date then
the date that is clicked on pops into the field. The
problem is when I generate the runtime version this
feature no longer works and the program terminates.
I have insured that the mscal.ocx is being installed with
the deployment wizard.
