I have two calenders on my Office. One is running with a chosen background
colour - the other I wish to use another colour but it keeps defaulting back
to this sickly yellow colour which I assume if a default somewhere?. I have
tried every which way to change this - any suggestions please? Can't have
them running on the same colour as thiey need to be shown together sometimes
and it can be confusing - but the yellow is just 'yuck'!

In "My Calendars" the Primary or Default Calendar is always Yellow.
Creating additional Calendars will be colored Green, Blue, Violet, etc.
So don't use the default Calendar. Create one more and use that instead.

Thank you Bob. I have done that - BUT (!!) I cannot copy the default
calender over to a sub folder!! Also, when syncronising with my mobile (all
Outlook) will it pick up a sub folder?

Make a "SecondCalender" in mailbox, Copy it there, then Rename the copy
to something other than "Calendar" and then Move it into mailbox. As for
your "mobile" I have no idea as to how that syncronizes or with what.

Thank you Bob for taking to time to help me - but I am afraid I am now rather
lost. Never use mailbox, and I do need to use the main calendar as this is
the only one I can sync with. so looks like I have to put up with that awful
yellow. Strange though, as before (before I reinstalled XP and MS Office) I
most defintely found a way around changing the colours. Thanks anyway.

Mobile syncs generally don't pick up sub-folders, in my experience, but you
may want to post to a mobile newsgroup somewhere...it would depend on the
device and its sync software, not Outlook.

Oh DUH, sorry I had brain failure.

Tools, Options, Preferences, Calendar Options, Background Color.

Sorry about the "stupid" phase!

mezzodiva - thank you. I sync with PC suite Nokia and have always done - and
no it doesn't understand sub folders. Bob, I have always used the options
selection to change the colour of background. But as I mentioned before you
can't get rid of the yellow one - no way at all to do this.... My defaul
(main) calendar is the one I sync with - and I can select a preferred colour.
The sub folder will not change colour - no way - unless I have it the same
as the Main calender - or of course sicky yellow! Anyway, folks, thanks
again for taking the time to help - but I am resigning myself to using the
Main calender as it is (as I cannot copy it and I NEED it where it is for
syncing) and my other calender (which I use as a rota) will remain yellow..
uummmmmm :(
