calender help, Pls, for tracking contractual items

Hi,

I need to set up a MS Project calender in order to track deliverable
from a vendor. The required delivery dates are expressed, as an example
"Contract Award plus 30 days" I set up deliverables as milestone event
and we set 30 calender days as a month for our contractual terms.

I tried using the 24hr calender..didnt work, it was coming in way to
early, apparently Project assumed 8hr work day..so 3 work days pe
calender day is 10 calender days to delivery.

I tried creating a calender and setting each day a work day, but I ca
onll specify 6hr work for Sunday and Saturday, 8-N&1pm-2pm, wont accep
any other stop time in afternoon on Sun&Sat...dont understand tha
either!

Regardless I tried using options on calender setup dialog for my custo
calender and set hours per day to 24, hrs per week to 168 and days pe
month to 30. Now when I link my task to contract award milestone and se
predecessor lag on contract award to FS+30d, the task is set way out...
months later than it should be.

I can count days on a calender myself, but I cant seem to set u
Project to count the same way, probably because of some effort relate
or other assumption on Project's setup, but can't figure out what.

If I have a contract award on Nov 1st with delivery 30d after contrac
award, the items should be scheduled as Dec 1st delivery, the best I'v
been able to get out of Project is Nov 3rd, but now I dont remember wha
the setting were to achieve that, regardless it not the right date.

How do I set up MS Project to set milestones based solely on calende
days?

Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance,
Dav
