I have created a few text import sql loader control files to load into a back-end oracle database of an access 2003 front end. These work fine. They are saved as windows tasks to run once every 24 hrs. All this was done through TOAD. No problem there.
The only snag is that the person who's computer the task files run on has to leave his pc running non-stop.
The idea I have is to install the sql loader plug-in on a few users' machines, and to call the windows task (or sql loader control file) through VBA from within an access form.
Is that possible at all ? Doe anybody have any VBA snippets to suggest ?
