Can a .exe file be attached in Outlook 2003 ?

I have been trying to attach a .exe file and some qbasic .bas files but they
are blocked by Outlook 2003.

Is there a way to overcome this. ??

They are blocked in 2002 (xp) as well. The simplest thing to do is to rename
the file and instruct the recipient to rename it back.

Or you can put it in a ZIP file. This also makes it transmit faster.
