2. If you are asking if Word 2000 can open a Word 2002 document, then yes.

For the most part, yes. Granted there are some features in Word 2002 (XP) or
Word 2003 that Word 2000 might choke on, but this is why there is a
compatibility tab in the newer versions (see tools > options >
compatibility).
