can anyone give any clue why some IDs are missing in a project?
We have a project that have tasks like:
ID
1
2
4
5
6
9
...
the project is a sub-project of another project and it has externally linked
tasks.
We already choose to show externally linked predecessors and successors. We
sort it by ID. Why some IDs like 3 , 7, 8are missing? This also causes map
problem when merger data in a csv file with project by the merge key UID.
Very strange problem.

Also, we are using Project 2007. If we save the file in 2003 and then open
the file in Project 2003, it got crashed. Very annoying ....

thanks

This would happen if the ID column you have displayed is actually the Unique
ID column or you have a filter applied.

Press <F3> to apply the All Tasks filter and double click the ID column
header to see if it has a title ID but is in fact the Unique ID column.
