can anyone suggest a good book that obviously covers infopath, but also the
integration with sharepoint?

There is a new MS Learning title for InfoPath - Introducing InfoPath 2003 by
Roger Jennings. You can preview some of it at
http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/infopath/. This is the first book
that covers the feature improvements that are part of Service Pack 1, so
that's my highest recommendation right now. It's available to order at
pretty much all the major online book retailers.
