Hi, trying to set a spreadseet with dates all the way to the end, do I have
to hold autofill to the end or can I do it another way?

Put the start date in the first cell then select the area you want to fill
including the cell you put the first date in.

This can be done using shift+end shift+down-arraw.

Then from the edit menu select fill|series...

Then select rows, date, day, step 1 and click ok.

Are you sure you want to fill the date into 65536 cells?

That would take you up to June 6, 2086

Follow Martin's advice but select a smaller range.

You can select a range by typing A1:A4000 in the namebox then hit ENTER and
Edit>Fill Series.

Thanks Gord.

I didn't realize that you could use the name box to select a range.

These NG's are a great place to learn.

Another method for those who are rodent-challenged............

F5 and type A1:A4000 and <ENTER>
