Can custom views be opened in a worksheet by other users?

Dave,

Thanks for the answer. Your answer will help me point staff to that area.
A nice feature is assigning a Toolbar item to Custom Views. I have done that
in my worksheet, but when I pass the worksheet to someone else, they have to
install the Custom View button on their machine. If their system image
changes, they have to recreate that button again, even though the views
remain in the spreadsheet.

Your answer helps me point them to a location that will always be active and
will always show the custom views in the worksheet. Is there a way to have
the Custom View Toolbar button remain active from user to user, without the
need to manually install it for each new desktop?

Thanks again!

David

The toolbar modifications belong to the pc (maybe even the user logged on???).

One tip that I do.

Once I've modified my toolbars, I'll close excel and make a copy of that *.xlb
file. Then if I ever mess it up, I can close excel and copy my backup into its
rightful home.

This *.xlb can live in different spots depending on your version of windows and
excel. I'd use windows|start button|search to find it (remember to look in
hidden folders and for hidden files).

And it may not exist. Make sure you make at least one change before you go
looking for *.xlb.

ps. This file is not something that I'd share with others -- well, without
telling them that when I put my toolbar on their system, then their toolbar will
be gone.
