Can Email; Can't Email as Attachment

Anyone have a clue as to what could cause Word to stop being able to email a
document as an attachment? I can email the document (embedded?) without a
problem. But, if I choose to email it as an attachment, it doesn't respond
when I click SEND. I can click SEND until I'm blue in the face...it doesn't
do anything.

I finally close the window, go to Outlook, and send as an attachment from
there.
