Can Excel auto-send an email on a given date?

I have a long list of tasks listed in Excel and would like an email to be
sent automatically to the respective task owner when the due date arrives.
Does anyone know of a way that this could be set up in Excel 2003?

To get you started, make a reference (tools menu item) to the Outloo
11.0 Object library when on the VBA page (Alt F11). You can then acces
a lot of help information about sending e-mails from Excel
