Can form emails be displayed differently

L

Hi i'm currently using Frontpage 2002, is it possible for the feedback
emails that are sent to be displayed differently? I've tried searching
the groups but can't find anything!

My results that are emailed are currently displayed like this:-

Name: Lewis Thompson

Email: (e-mail address removed)

DOB: 16th April 1983

Is it possible for the email when sent to read (for example):-

Mr Lewis Thompson (email address: (e-mail address removed)) was born on
the 16th of April, 1983. Lewis Thompson has requested
that........................ etc etc

Please if someone could help, that would be so appreciated.

Regards

Lewis

Not possible when using the FP Form Handler. Would requires the use of a custom written server-side
script to format and send the email.

The easy formats are:

XML
HTML
HTML definition list
HTML bulleted list
Formatted text within HTML
Formatted text
Text database using comma as a separator
Text database using Tab as a separator
Text database using Space as a separator

With the last three, you could import it into a database and then use a form
letter to insert the info into it and make it look any way you want...

FrontPage 2003 open the "Saving Results" window then go to the "E-mail
Results" Tab then under the E-mail format: chouse the format you want...

You might want to play around and see what the different formats look like.

I will concur with the MVP, and add in that I ALWAYS
recommend using the server-side script, as it will greatly
reduce the spam to the destination email address.
