Can I add a 'Favorites' button to the 'Save As' window in office

Lincoln

Can someone please tell me how I can add a shortcut button or Icon for
Favorites into the side of top of the SAVE AS window in MS Office ? When I
save an AutoCAD file for example, there is a shortcut button to jump to My
Favorites, and there used to be with an older version of MS Office, but not
with the latest version. Can I turn this on somewhere ? ? ? Thanks anyone
for some help !

Hi Lincoln,

Generally Favorites is a folder used to store shorcuts/links to other locations rather than files. If you're in File=>Save in Office
2003 then actions taken there to save a file will save the file rather than a link to it. The 'My recent documents' choice on the
Places bar (that's the one on the left side) in File=>Save or File=>Open is an ongoing record of files used.

To add to the Places bar, from File=>Open or File=>Save use the 'Look in' tool to navigate to the folder you want to use for
favorites. When you're in that folder you want to add to the 'jump to' choices use Tools=>Add to My Places.

You can rearrange the order of things in the places bar by right clicking on it, but you won't be able to add a favorites choice to
the top toolbar of File=>Save.
