Can I add an appointment using a different time zone?

I am scheduling appointments for myself that will be taking place in
different parts of the country and would like to know if I can change the
time zone for a particular appointment while creating it.

For example: I am in the Eastern Time Zone, but will need to call in to a
conference call that will be scheduled at 3:00pm in the Pacific Time Zone. I
would like to be able to create an appt with the starting time 3:00pm PT and
have it show up on my calendar using ET (6:00pm ET). Is this possible to do
without having to actually switch time zones before creating the appointment?

Using your example, if you set up the appointment using the ET of
6:00pm, and then, when you get to Pacific, just change the timezone in
outlook, the appointment will automatically be moved to PT.

Thanks for responding, but I'm really trying to find a way to enter the appts
and have the correct time calculate automatically. This way all I have to do
is enter the correct time zone and don't have to mess around with the "time
zone math" adding and/or subtracting hours, and keeping up with whether or
not daylight savings time is observed (for ex. in Hawaii they don't observe
DST).

Just add it in your own time zone.

You can in Outlook 2007. There's a Time Zones button in the ribbon that
will add a timezone drop down next to the time.
