Can I automate front/follower page section breaks?

FJB3012

I have used document templates in previous versions of word that have opened
as one page, but if the text typed exceeds one page, they have automatically
created a second page as a "follower page". The follower page has had a
different header, footer and margins than the front page. Does anyone know
how to create this in Word 2003?
cheers

On the File menu, click Page Setup. Click the Layout tab. Here you'll
find options for "Different first page" and "Different odd and even".
The first option is to have different headers and footers on the first
page; the second one enables you to have different headers and footers
for left and right pages. For the type of document you are referring
to, you would want to enable "Different first page".

For template creation you would use one or more temporary page breaks
in order to see all of the different types of headers and footers. The
breaks should then be deleted when the design is completed.
