Hi all,
For over 6 months I've had Proj Server 03, WSS, SQL2K all running happily
together on a WinServ03 box. Users are authenticated with Win logins (no SQL
accounts). All users have been entered into the Proj Serv Entr. Resource Pool
and a long list of Projects have been established. Users (resources) have
been assigned multiple tasks from the list of projects---and users have been
entering "actuals" for all this time. No complaints overall---everything has
been running quite well.
Then our company was bought out by another company. The new owners have
changed the Windows Domain name. We went from ACME\usernames to
BIGCORP\othernames. Now when I access PWA, no tasks are associated with my
new login account.
Is there a way to "change" the name (under the covers so-to-speak) of the
resources in the Enterprise Resource Pool AND maintain the associated tasks
(and entered actuals against those tasks)?
Yesterday I was "ACME\workerbee" and in PWA I had "pollinate the flowers" in
my "Task List" and for 6 months I've been dutifully entering hours each day
as I flitter from flower to flower.
Today, I'm "BIGCORP\lostintheshuffle" and when I go to PWA, I have no
entries in my "Task List" (but all other Windows stuff has been "aligned" to
this new account).
What I need is to have all my old tasks migrated into this new Windows
Domain account. I need to "see" all my old duties and "see" all my hours that
I've been entering for months.
Can this be done?
Please provide an example (doesn't have to be 'botanical' though) explaining
all the steps necessary, if possible. I've seen responses to similar queries
like this that say "oh simple... go change the name in the Entr. Resource
Pool", but I think there's more to it than that.
Thanks in advance everyone.
