Can I convert a .pps slideshow to an MPEG or AVI format?

PowerPoint-to-DVD

I'd like to convert a self-running PowerPoint slideshow to an MPEG, AVI, or
other video format so I can save it for playback on a traditional DVD player.
Any ideas?
