Can I convert PP97-2003 files to PP2007? won't open presently.

I have many old powerPoint 97-2003 files, accrued froma previous network.
when I click in Powerpoint 2007 they won't open. I cannot find advice on
this, including whether I can convert the old files.

97-2003 files should open in 2007 with no problem. Are you sure they aren't
in 97-2003 &95 format? Do you get an error message?
