can I convert publisher files to quark express?

My daughter created a newsletter in MS Publisher and needs to have it in
Quark Express. Is there a converter than will allow her to accomplish this?

No there is not. You can try to copy/paste between the two.

for the most part page laout applications do not interchange. In some
cases one vendor may write a conversion application, as Adobe has for XP
and Publisher files and others have for PM files. But these are uniform;
ly based on an older version of the converted file format and they've
been "black boxed" meaning MS did not help Adobe learn how to parse a
Pub format file and so on. Very seldom are these conversions probelm
free.

When it is necessary to move from one app to anotehr, someone pretty
much has to do it all over agaon.
