Can I draw a simple floor plan in Office?

I am a novice computer user. I need to draw a simple floor plan of my home.

Word is not the application of first resort for drawing. Do you have
Publisher?

Visio is a great product to use as well.

However...for a very basic drawing in WORD, open up your drawing toolbar (if
it's not open already) by clicking View>Toolbars>Drawing.

Then, on the drawing toolbar, click the drop down arrow on "AutoShapes" and
use the 'basic shapes' option to draw your floor plan.
