Can I generate a report for my classroom? (I APPRECIATE YOUR HELP

Here's what I need to do. I have a list of students in column A. In Column B
I have inidicated with an 'M' those students who have earned a merit
certificate. Now I want to generate a list in column C showing only those
students who have earned a merit certificate.
I know I could just copy and paste, but since I need to this for all sorts
of other applications ( eg showing absences) I was wondering if there was a
way to do it?

Select columns A & B

Data==>Filter=>AutoFilter=> select "M" (from column B) and copy/paste
filtered selection.

(as opposed to individual copying/pasting).
