I misplaced my copy of the disk for office 2003. I have my product key
available, but woudl like a copy of the disk in case anything happens to my
comp and need to reinstall it. Is it possible for me to obtain a replacement
of the disk?

Peter Foldes

Yes you can. Send me an email and I will send you the address where you will
have to send all your pertinent info. Providing that you have proof of
purchase and the CD key is valid. You also would have to had activated
Windows 2003 with Microsoft.

I also forgot to mention to you that if none of the proof is valid
especially the proof of purchase and the activation that you have and done
then you will need to pay the full price of the replacement Win2003 CD.
If all is correct there will be a reduction in the cost of the Win 2003 CD
but it will not be a big one. Remember that this is a Win2003 server
install. I am telling you this because I have gone through this with
Microsoft. I also have Windows 2003.

Why would anyone have to email you for instructions that are freely
available on Microsoft's web site

Peter

That's not nice.. appropriating somebody's e-mail ID for something that you
could post back here is devious, especially as the info is free to anybody..
one could assume that you are trying to build up a customer base maybe to
whom you will charge a nominal amount for support rendered..

If you like e-mail, show your real ID as I do.. some with questions feel
that a private hearing may be better, and in those cases, they can e-mail me
easily enough.. but never ask in a public newsgroup for anybody to e-mail
you with a problem unless it is of a personal nature.. IT help comes free
here..

I would suspect that he is referring to the new MS download Windows
validation scheme where you have to enter the Windows Product ID in
order to download anything.

Thanks for the information. To the rest of you who think that i want to get
someone elses email that's ridiculous. The only reason why i didnt use my
real id is because its long and the whole process of signing in was long and
it was late and i still had to wake up real early the next day. Thanks to
Peter for answering my question, it helped a lot. Those of u who like to
assume, need to realize that you could be wrong and should be more respectful
when you send response.

Windows 2003 is a server, not a desktop OS.
