Can I get slides to have hyperlinks/buttons AND also transition t.

I have students that are creating slide shows with hyperlinks/buttons on each
slide. Some of my students want to also have the option just to click on the
slide generally and it go to the next slide in the sequence. Can you have
BOTH options on a slide? We are going to custom animation and adding custom
effects, but when we play the slide show - it doesn't go to the next slide.
Any suggestions or is this not possible?!

You have several options for what you are trying to do. However, if the
animations are not automatic, you will need the mouse click to bring them
in. You might want to put a semitransparent shape on your slide that has
a hyperlink to Next Slide. Any click on this shape (which could cover
your whole slide) will take you to the next slide. This shape should go
behind any of the clickable objects but in front of anything you don't
want clickable.
