Can I import Access d/b into Excel ?

I have Windows ME running Office 2000. Can anyone suggest to a newbie how to
get my Acess databases into Excel.
The help file says to use "Get External Data" but when it comes to 'Browse'
it does not display the Access files I want to import.

You can open an Access DB in an Excel sheet from File>Open, Scroll down to the
file type. I'm not sure exactly what you want to do, but you could then use it
as is or Cut and Paste into another sheet, if that would help.
