can I install 2000 in new computer instead of trial version?

bought new (replacement) computer with trial Student & Teacher version of
Office installed. I am neither and already have personal info in version
2000. Can I uninstall the new trail version and install my old 2000 instead.

Also, will the new cell phones be able to retrieve my contacts list from the
older version, or must it be 2003?

As long as you have a retail version of Office 2000 (not an OEM version that
came preinstalled on your old computer by the computer manufacturer), it
should be okay to install it on your new computer. Read your End User
License Agreement to make sure.

Think the version I have is a full one and not the OEM.
What happens to the trial after 1 month? does it cost
the full amount? If you don't pay, does it eat your
inputted info? Thanks for gettting back to me

When the trial period expires, you won't be able to create new documents or
edit existing documents; you will still be able to view and print existing
documents, but that's about all. See
http://www.microsoft.com/office/trial/convert.mspx for conversion
information. If you choose the "Buy Key Online" option, then the price will
be the full suggested retail price of the Office 2003 edition (Standard,
Professional, etc.) that you are converting. See
http://www.microsoft.com/office/editions/howtobuy/compare.mspx for pricing
information. Since you already have Office 2000, you qualify for upgrade
pricing, but I don't think the "Buy Key Online" option allows for this, so
you might be better off buying an upgrade version from your favorite retailer.
