I am currently using Microsoft Office 97, I just received Microsoft Office
2003 Pro, can I install the 2003 ver over Office 97, or do I need to remove
Office 97.

Although Microsoft does not recommend it, you CAN install and use more than one version of Microsoft Office on
a single computer. For example, you can install and use both Microsoft Office 2003 and Microsoft Office 97 on
the same computer. The article which I have linked to below describes the problems that you may experience if
you do this and offers advice to help prevent different versions of Office from conflicting with each other.
