can i make "print layout" my default way to view?

I've been using Office 2003 for some time now and realized that I really
like to read Word documents in "print layout" mode (I guess I can't get away
from working with paper). Is there a way to make this the automatic default
for reading every time I open a document? It seems it opens either in print
or normal, depending upon how the last user saved the file?
