Ernest Lee

After I draw a text box, I typed some text inside the box.
What I want is to place those text in the middle of the
text box. How can I do that in word 2000. ?

Hi Ernest,

The only way to do it would be to place a single cell (probably borderless)
table inside the text box with that cell dimensioned to fill the text box
and then insert the text inside that cell and use the Cell Alignment feature
of tables to give you the desired alignment.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps

Howdy Earnest Lee,

You can center the text using paragraph formatting
options. Go to the Format->Paragraph menu item and
in "alignment" dropdown box there is a "center" option
that will automatically center the text horizontally.
Although it is a bit cruder, you can also center the text
vertically using the "space before" property. You might
have to try a couple times before getting the space before
right - it isn't automatic like the alignment solution.
