Can I mask URL in FP express

R

Rob

I would like to be able to e-mail a link to my home page that
just reads something like " Rob's home page
rather than the whole long URL. Can this be done?

Only if you send the email as HTML.

You would have to send email as HTML via Outlook or Outlook Express, this
really has nothing to do with web publishing, etc.

Mr. Rowe,
Are you intentionally being vague and condisending?

I said that I did know what you meant by sending the e-mail
as html. Is that a format that I can set in outlook or do you mean use the send this
page function right in the browser. I have used send a link and it is the url, not
the page name that is attached to the mail.

Neither!

If you want to send an email where the link appears as text, with the URL
hidden behind the text, then you must create your email as HTML.

Here is how the link would be created:

<a href="http://www.ycoln-resources.com">WEBMASTER Resources</a>

To learn how to do this with either Outlook or Outlook Express, you will
need to look under Help or post to the appropriate MS newsgroup, as this
really is not FP or FPExpress related, and FPExpress is no longer a
supported product.
