No, you cannot open PST files directly in Apple Mail because it does not support the PST format created by Microsoft Outlook. PST is a proprietary file type so that Apple Mail won’t recognize or read it. To access your emails, you need to convert the PST file into a compatible format like MBOX.
The easiest way to do this is by using a reliable PST file converter such as BLR Tools. This tool converts your PST file into MBOX while preserving important data like emails, attachments, and folder structure. Once the conversion is complete, you can import the MBOX file into Apple Mail using the File → Import Mailboxes option.
Compared to manual methods like using Outlook or syncing through IMAP, this approach is faster, works offline, and avoids data loss, making it the most efficient solution.
