CAN I PURCHASE EXCEL ONLY WITHOUT BUYING MICROSOFT OFFICE?

My operating system is XP. I have Microsoft Works that doesn't include
Excel. I am taking an online Accounting course in college that requires
Excel. I would prefer not to puchase the complete Microsoft Office software
just to get the Excel program. Any help would be appreciated

Hi
you could buy Excel as standalone program. I would recommend searching
Ebay for an onlder version of Excel. e.g. Excel 2000 or Excel 2002.

In addition to what Jim & Frank said, ask if your course can be taken with
xl97. If so, try ebay for excel 97 which should be very inexpensive. Just be
sure you get a legal version and try for version xl97sr2.
