can i put office that came on an older computer on my new computer

i purchased a new computer that only has the trial version of office 07. i
have older versions of office that came on older computers. can i put the
older office on my new computer if i have the microsoft disc that came with
the older computer ?

Only if its a retail edition, which is unlikely as it was supplied with the
old PC - I would expect it to be an OEM edition, which is tied to the PC it
was supplied on.

In any case depends what edition you would like to install as to its
compatibility withm Vista.
You also have to uninstall the trial prior to installing from CD
