Can I re-install Office (on my current PC) onto my new PC?

Pretty basic question from a pretty novice user. I was told that I have a
limited number of times I can re-install MS software (in this case, Office
2000) when I replace my PC with a new one. I also want to install the
software onto my laptop. Two questions therefore, I suppose:
1. How many times can I re-install the software onto a new PC?
2. Can I install it onto my laptop (i.e. is the licence attached to me, to
one PC/laptop at a time, or a limited number of concurrent PCs). Sorry if my
question is a bit daft !

1. If I remember correctly, as many as you need.
2. It can be installed twice. Once on your PC and then a second time on a
portable device you own.

To read over the License Agreement yourself click Help on any product, then
About. There should be a link to read the EULA or End User License Agreement.
This information should be near the top of the agreement.

I've also heard there was a limited number of times but I've never heard a
definite number.

As for putting it on more than one system, you really need to read the EULA.
Basically, if it came pre-installed on one computer then it cannot be
installed on another. It dies when the old computer dies.
