All,

Can I recover a word file I closed without saving changes? Had the file open
for two days without saving and closed without saving changes.

I now understand that the changes are lost. This may sound like a stupid
question,,,,,,, but if office auto saves approx every 10 mins (in case the
computer is switched off) and when you click the "do not save changes" button
the temp file is deleted, where does the temp file go? I have a very limited
knowledge of computers, but if a deleted file can be recovered, then why cant
the temp file or file containing the auto saves be recovered?

Craig

If you didn't save the changes, they aren't there.

You will need to use undelete software and search the sub-directory for
any thing that might not have been over written.
