can i remove outlook software?

I do not Outlook on my home computer. I only download messages at my work
computer. From home I only read email at the provider's website. If I
remove Outlook 2002 from the home computer, will it affect any other programs?

No, it won't hurt to remove it and will prevent updates from setting outlook
as default.
