Can I restore a ppt file that is stored locally that I saved over?

I have a bad feeling there is no hope here but I have to try. I have a ppt
file that I have been working on for 3 weeks. It is stored locally and the
last time I backed it up (to the network) was 2 weeks ago. I opened the file
this morning and made some changes. I thought I was deleting the slide
numbers but now I realize I deleted a number of my slides. I then made other
modifications and saved those changes before I realized that I had deleted a
number of slides.

Is there any way to get my ppt file from this morning? I only need to go
back about an hour or so or just before I saved? Any suggestions?

You may be able to find a tmp file.

Search for ppt*.tmp

If you find a likely candidate try opening it (all files) from powerpoint

I should have said make sure you search hidden folders in advanced options
