can i restore outlook to a previous date to retrieve contacts & calendar, etc?

I cannot access my outlook personal file folders.
i get an operation failed message, a message stating that
my outlook folder is not a personal file folder, and one
about the favorites (.fav).

I've tried creating new profiles, and that my work, but I
need my information from my old profile!

I hope this makes sense, thanks for any help you can give.

Make sure the .PST file isn't marked read-only. If it's on a CD, move it to
your hard drive and remove the read-only attribute.
