Can I restrict the resources that can be assigned to the tasks?

Hey Gurus,
I got an small issue,I want to restricr the resources that can be
assigned to a particular task based on some other field..can i do
that?? if so how??
for example that field can be group name in resources.

Other than doing it mannually, write a small macro that reads the other
field, and then assigns the resource per the rule you wish, implemented
as an algorithm.
