Can I (route email based on) contents of attachment

I receive emails that I route to the appropriate mgt team.
However, two of the types I have to capture info from a
txt attachment to determine the proper distribution. This
is really getting old.

How does one work with the contents of an attachment?

Any ideas/knowledge would be very appreciated.
