Can I run both Office 2003 and Office 2007?

I have Office 2003 currently on my machine. I just bought 07 Home and
Student version.

Can I load office 2007 and use Excel, Word, PowerPoint and One Note AND also
keep 2003 for Publisher, Outlook and Access?

I assume when I load 2007 it will wipe 2003 from the machine. but what I am
hoping is I can then load 2003 and select just Publisher, Outlook and Access.

I asked this once before and got a qualified "yes, but..." answer. I really
need to know if this can actually be done. I do not wish to open the 2007
software package if I can not end up with 2007 Excel, Word, OneNote,
PowerPoint AND 2003 Publisher, Access and Outlook.

Your guidance is appreciated.

Yes, you can.

Actually, the configuration you want is exactly what you should get when
you install your 2007 in a typical configuration. If you want to feel
more comfortable though, do a custom install and you can tell it exactly
which programs to keep.
As a rule though, Office 2007 setup will only replace programs. So
programs that you don't have a 2007 replacement for (Publisher, Access,
Outlook) will not be touched at all.

You might encounter some interoperability issues depending on how you use
Office. For example, in Outlook 2003, you can use Word 2003 as the email
editor. I don't believe that Outlook 2003 can use Word 2007 for email. (It's
possible, however -- using a custom install -- to have both Word 2003 and
2007 at the same time; but there are potential issues that might necessitate
some registry editing.) There might be additional interop issues as well. As
Patrict says, you can do it. But, be alert to possible problems when using
2003 and 2007 Office programs together.

Herb is right. Outlook 2003 cannot use Word 2007 as email editor.

I have a question which fits right into this discussion. I access a
Oracle table through a network connection. In Access 2007 the query
run can take up to 5 hours to return a few numbers. In Access 2003
different corp machine set up the same, it can take 7 seconds.

Can I run Access 2007 and Access 2003 on the same machine?
I am using Oracle 9i with the Mircrosoft ODBC to Oracle connetions.

Thank

Do a Custom install and choose to keep all previous versions.

I installed MS Home and Student and I previously had Outlook 2003 installed.
It left Outlook 2003 no problem. However, everytime I open Outlook or receive
an e-mail a dialog box pops up saying "please wait while MS Office Home and
Student Configures" How do I stop this from occurring. I downloaded all of
the recent updates and have let it configure numerous times and have
re-booted numerous times as well. It is crazy annoying please help.
