IS IT POSSIBLE TO SCAN AN IMAGE INTO POWERPOINT?

Hi

Microsoft apparently decided that Mac users don't don't want to do this
any more. The technology that enables scanning is called TWAIN. TWAIN is
supported in PowerPoint 2004, but was removed from Office 2008, perhaps
in an effort to remove features demeaned as "underused" and often
disparaged as "bloatware." TWAIN support continues to be supported on
Windows versions of Microsoft Office, where feature support seems to win
out over people complaining about "bloat."

Unfortunately, one person's "bloat" is another person's "great feature"
and it becomes a matter of who complains the loudest as to what happens.

For years, the anti-bloatware Mac contingent has been vociferously
trashing Microsoft Office. I think it's become plain that many folks who
have been using these supposedly under-used "bloat" features all along
are being inconvenienced by their removal. I would very much like the
anti-bloatware/anti-feature crowd to shut up and go away. They've caused
a lot of trouble and even damage. They won out in this release and it's
been problem after problem as a result.

Let Microsoft know that TWAIN support is actually something Mac users DO
use and request that they return it to Mac Office. Here's the URL to
state your case:
