Can I set project task "Start" to time rather than date? How?

I need to make a project plan for a project that takes place over a singe
day. I need to set task start and end as times not days. Can this be done?
How?

The date fields such as start and finish are all date/time fields. Go to
the Tools Menu, choose Options, select the View Tab, and change the date
format to one that includes the time. You've got a choice of date and time,
day of week and time, or just time, among others.
