Can I share everything between 3 machines?

I have a desktop with Vista, a laptop with XP and a Treo running Windows
Mobile. The world would be a beautiful place to me if I could set up all
three in such a way that I can access my email and calendar from any of them.
If I were to use the desktop as a "home-base," would I HAVE to set something
like this up with exchange or is there a way to access the desktop from the
other two machines? The "home-base" idea is only my best guess as to how the
whole system would be setup, so it's not at all a requirement. ANY advice is
appreciated!

The EASIEST way is to check with your ISP to see if they offer IMAP email
accounts....
